Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Ayna, operated by Bayaan Consultancy. They apply to everyone who uses the service: event hosts, photographers, and guests who scan an event QR code.

Host and photographer accounts require approval before they become active. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity carried out under your account. Accounts may be suspended for misuse, including uploading unlawful content or attempting to access other users’ data.

You control your event: its dates, who photographs it, how long photos are retained, and whether guests may contribute photos. You are responsible for having the right to invite attendees into face-recognition-based photo discovery at your event, and for telling attendees it is in use — the QR poster does this by default.

Event fees are calculated from your event configuration and shown before payment. Retention periods affect the price.

You retain copyright in the photos you upload. By uploading to an event you grant the host and the event’s guests the right to view, download and share those photos for personal, non-commercial purposes, and grant us the right to process and store them to run the service. Photos are credited to you.

Do not upload photos you do not have the right to distribute, or that you were asked not to publish.

Face recognition is optional. You can browse the full event gallery without it, and you can delete your face data at any time. Photos you find are for your personal use — do not use them commercially or republish other attendees’ photos without their agreement.

Photos you contribute to an event gallery may be viewed and downloaded by other attendees and by the host.

Uploaded photos are automatically screened for explicit content, and hosts can review, hide or delete any photo from their event. We may remove content that is unlawful, or that we are notified infringes someone’s rights or privacy.

To report a photo, contact the event host or write to bayaan@consultancy.firm.in.

Each event has a retention period chosen by its host. When it ends, the event’s photos, face data and guest sessions are deleted automatically. Download your photos before then.

Event fees are payable before an event is activated, through Razorpay. Card details are handled by Razorpay and never reach our servers. Refund requests should go to bayaan@consultancy.firm.in.

We aim to keep the service available and photos safe, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Face matching is automated and imperfect — it may miss photos you appear in, or occasionally suggest photos you do not. Treat results as a convenience, not a certainty.

How personal data — including face data — is handled is set out in the Privacy Notice, which forms part of these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at Harua Road, Deulia, North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, India, 743424.
